INDEPENDENCE DAY July 4, is on a Sunday this year. We will be having a JOINT WORSHIP SERVICE with the First Presbyterian Church, Covina at their church. Worship will reflect our gratitude to God for this great nation. There will be a balance of Hymns, Contemporary Songs and Special Music with a patriotic theme. Our Rainbow Ringers will be playing. We will prayer for our country. Come give thanks to God for this wonderful nation. Invite your family and friends to attend worship with you. TIME of the Worship Service is 10:00 am. ADDRESS is 310 N. Second Avenue, Covina, 91723. NOTE: There will be NO WORSHIP, in English, at our facility. If you need a ride or are willing to give someone a ride please call the Church Office 626.918.1221 and we will help coordinate rides. We are also invited to a Concert of Patriotic Music 5:30 pm, Saturday July 3, in the First Presbyterian Church’s sanctuary. Following the concert there will be BBQ food for sale (fund raiser for their youth) and a Dixie Land Jazz Band. July 11, I will begin a new series of sermons on Colossians. July 18 we will have plenty of Congregational Singing with Earl Harvey playing the piano. July 1, I begin half-time. I will be in the office or out calling Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Wednesdays I will write a sermon which I will preach on Sundays. It will take some time adjusting to the reduced hours. Please be patient. Be sure to read all the articles in this Newsletter because we are beginning a new ministry of clothes distribution and again doing the "Back Pack Ministry." Note: This Newsletter is for July and August. We are working on a new format of the Newsletter for Fall.
